Willemsen takes over management in China

New President of Rheinmetall Automotive in China

At the end of June 2020, Lothar Schneider (63) handed over his position as President of KSPG (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a member of the Rheinmetall Group, to Peter Willemsen.

Willemsen (44) is an industrial engineer specializing in microelectronics and high-frequency technology and has already been able through his career start at Siemens as Business Development Manager in Tokyo, to gain experience in Asian business. Further career stages in China followed at automotive-industry suppliers such as Continental AG and Hella GmbH & Co. KGaA, where he most recently headed the Technical Center of Hella Electronics in China. Willemsen has a high level of engineering expertise and many years of experience, particularly in the Chinese automotive-supplier business.

Lothar Schneider joined the Rheinmetall Group on March 1, 2001. In recent years he has held various management positions, especially in the Hardparts casting business, most of them in China. Most recently, Schneider was in charge of the Global Castings business unit. When KSPG China was founded in March 2015, he also took over as head of KSPG China and was thus responsible for Rheinmetall Automotive's entire regional organization in China.
