Lothar Schneider receives Magnolia Award

Shanghai's government honors President of KSPG (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

The Magnolia Award is one of the most important Chinese awards to personalities from foreign countries who make great contribution to both the economical and society development of Shanghai as well as to intercultural exchange.

It was awarded for the first time in January 1989 and is conferred annually. This year, the award was handed to Lothar Schneider, President of KSPG (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

From 2001 onwards, Schneider has worked and lived in China, and contributed significantly to the success of KPSNC, a JV between Rheinmetall Automotive and the SAIC affiliate HUAYU Automotive Systems. Today, KPSNC is one of the major worldwide aluminum casting companies in the automotive business.

Schneider also advanced the development of Rheinmetall Automotive in China, where the group now operates ten subsidiaries. Today, Schneider is responsible for all activities of the German automotive supplier in China as president and CEO of KSPG (China) Investment Co., Ltd.
